Draft, and deliberately short. It describes what the software actually does today. It will be reviewed properly before paid course purchases open.

What we collect

Your name and email address when you sign up, and a hashed password. The communities you join and lessons you complete. Historical posts and comments may remain in the database from before community posting was removed. Files you upload, including video and notes.

What we do not collect

No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics. Pesapal handles the payment itself; Skill Earn stores the payment status, amount, Pesapal transaction reference, confirmation code, and billing phone number for a course purchase. Community membership remains free.

Video

Uploaded video is re-encoded on our own machines into smaller renditions and an audio-only track. It is not sent to a third-party video platform. A member playing a lesson has a watermark drawn over it showing their own name, which is how a leaked recording is traced.

Who can see what

Lessons are visible according to the community and course access settings. Creators can see who has joined theirs and who has completed which lesson. We do not sell or share any of it.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your data while your account is open. Ask us to delete it and we will, along with your uploads, except anything we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons.
